During the last half the previous century no one fit the A.R.E.'s idea of the Edgar Cayce spokesperson better than Bill and Gladys McGarey. That's because they were doctors and had a genuine interest in the Cayce readings. Subsequently they were vaulted to a prominent position within the organization early on, and stayed there. Bill McGarey found himself testing the idea of the castor oil packs and felt this was a good area to focus on because it was both innocuous to fend off criticism from the establishment and might well prove to be of assistance to an ever growing number of people. Following many years of recommending the pack and observing the benefits thereof, Dr. Bill finally wrote this book which quite likely will become his legacy.
